It's not a big deal because i realize it is a jeep, but I had a quick question for the experienced jeepers. When it's raining and i open the door, water pours in the cab from the roof. Is there any way to minimize the water pouring in or is this just a jeep thing?

 

I belive your refering to toledo falls... Yep, its a jeep thing..

 

Push up on the roof before you open the door! or move to So Cal.

 

Its really not a big deal, just get in and out quick.
That said....they really should have designed it a little better. What a stupid oversight.

Yeah, like I said...not a big deal to me because I still love it! I was just curious.....I will try to knock the water off the roof before I get out next time and see if it helps. Heck, with the amount of rain we've been getting here in Alabama lately....I shouldn't have to worry much

 

Sounds like the top isn't tight enough. I have a hart top now but I've never had a loose top that let water pool on it. Go to an upholsterer and have it adjusted.

 

Easy fix.....always let the wife get in first....

 

Consider yourself lucky it only happens when you open the door. Some of us have water poring in with the door closed.

 

This is true...so far no leaks on the inside!

 

I haven't tested it yet, Dolly just hit, but my solution would be to run a few lumps of silione (clear) along the track. The purpose of the track is to catch rain, however as a side effect it acts as a gutter and moves all the water to the lowest point. This is the door jam area. For this you need to break up the gutter into smaller pieces that will fill and drain over the edge. You can remove them if they don't work.

So you want to Bisect the track along the way into smaller pieces.
