Default Website is slow on my laptop...

Does anyone else have this problem? Maybe I am just using an older laptop that isn't all that good with handling the graphics on this website. I find it very difficult to navigate around this website because the screen refreshes slowly.

I really like this forum, but does anyone know how I might get it to be a little more "user friendly" without spending $$$ on a new computer?

Some of your problem may depend on your internet connection speed, your graphics card, or the amount of memory. Without spending money I would set your resilution lower, defrag your hard drive, and optomize your computer resorces towards your video capability.

I had the same problem here, I think it was due to a big traffic in this forum.

It's not your laptop.. The server that is used by JK-FORUM.COM apparently cannot handle the traffic properly when many are on the forum.

I have a high speed connection. I did as one person suggested and reduced the resolution - this really helped.

I think that this webpage just has a lot of graphics on it that your average laptop cannot handle very well, unless you have the super-duper-wiz-bang game/graphics card watchamacalit. (Not very technical when it comes to these things).

I only use my laptop via wireless DSL and the website always runs fast for me. Thank God

They are aware of the issues with the server and are working to get it back in shape.
