I just ordered it Friday, so it should be the first stage (BX?? I think). Is there a web site or a number to call for updates? A few years back I got a new Taurus as a company car, and I was able to check online for updates.

Also, my JK has been in BX status for almost a month now so I'm gonna guess that you'll be waiting for your a while too

I ordered mine overseas from Military Car Sales. I got a great deal on it. Im paying 19,400 for an X with soft top, C option package (A/C, Full doors, console) I also added the 4.10 ratio to it for a little more pick up.

With the deal I got, if my JK isnt at the dealership on the date promised (Oct 27th) the dealership will pay for a hotel, a rental car, and give me $100 per diem until it gets there. I want it to be there, but then again i could live it up and party for a week on the dealerships tab. hmmmm....

Here's my take on color. I went round and round looking for pictures, etc. Was down to steel Blue but had my eye on the Greystone Pearl. I looked at the color on Commanders but everything looks different on the Wrangler when you incorporate the black fenders, bumpers, and top. Walked into a showroom where they had an 06 White lifted, 33" tires on chrome wheels, bikini top, etc. Never would have considered white but I was in love Brought my buddy a couple of days later to see it, it was gone. In it's place same thing, 06 in silver. Never would have considered silver, I was in love again. Came to realize, it isn't about the color so much as to what you do with the aftermarket stuff. If you think you like a color, go for it. Throw some tires and a lift on it and you can't help but be in love.

The lighter the color, the easier it is to hide scratches and the less 'dirty' it looks. That's one reason silver is one of the most popular colors.
I had a white YJ and even after 4 years of wheeling it could be polished up nice. I had a red CJ7 that even after a bew paint job (and many hours of hand sanding and rubbing smooth) had very noticable scratches and such after just one year of use. I have a '96 Dodge Ram that is white and with the exception of where the paint actually peeled on the hood, it still looks pretty darn good.
Mine's going to be white.
(Although I could be tempted by the yellow next year...) (looks like I'll be a year off as the budget won't allow a purchase until after the winter and late model year purchases in MA is a nasty tax hit.
