Those of you that traded in a JK for a 2012 or just in general. What did you get with regards to KBB? Did they offer good or very good trade in price or will they only offer fair trade in value?

I'm trying to determine if it's better to try and sell private party or if the difference might only be 500-$1000 in which case I might just trade in for less hassle.

 

I went recently just for kicks. The told me $23K after tax savings for my 2010 JKU 10,500 miles Automatic, Dual Top. That of course really means a number like $21,500. Totally ridiculous. I will likely just wait till I am all paid off (July 2013) and then sell it privately for a new one. The 2013 colors are looking terrible so maybe it'll be a 2014.

 

I have a 2008 2dr X with extras and 54000 miles and they shot me a number of $16000

 

21,500 for a 2010 JKUS with 42k miles.
