Default What did you pay for your 2012 JKU?

Hi everyone, looking to get into a JKU this year. Just wondering what people have been paying for these cars.

If you can list your model / options and price paid that would be great.

(a) Poor dead kitteh.

(b) Answers will be all over the map. It varies by region. Plus people BS about the deal they got. Some people will think they got an amazing deal on a JK and wind up getting screwed on their trade. Some will include sales tax in their paid price. Some won't. And some are just better negotiators and really did get an amazing deal.

(c) A 3-year Tread Lightly membership gets you 1% below invoice. Start there.

Go to costco.com and search "autosave". You can lookup the invoice for any car with any options. That gives you powerful information for negotiating.

I paid 2% under invoice for a 2012 JKUR. It was a good deal.

What the price on the sticker is about what you'll end up paying with tax, title, etc. Even with discounts you'll end up with a price right around sticker. Since it's a Jeep you won't find many discounts from Jeep (so i was told). So just go with as much down money as you can save up.

I did not sign up for Tread Lightly Discount. Paid Invoice and fought for 2K more on my trade in.

Not a awesome deal but I think I did ok.

2012 JKU sport manual trans. 23S package. Infinity sound with subwoofer and Sirius radio. Hard top. Max tow. Connectivity package.
MSRP 30720
FWP 29512 (invoice?)
Friends and family 29217
Employee 28111

These numbers include the $900 delivery charge. I had no trade and paid the employee price because my friend works there and took care of me. I had no trade in and put $6500 down. I used my american express for the down payment so i can get my cash back reward. I think the Costco program gives a price of about 5% below invoice.
