Default What do you pull

Greetings one and all,

Like many before me I have been doing all the reading I can to learn.

I am going to buy a camper for my wife and I..We thought at first it would be a pop up type but that is not going to work for us.

we are planning a cross country trip in a couple years and want a unit that will work for us .

Have looked at the R-POD and it might work, also like the Jayco Jay Seires,ROO etc etc.
Those of you that tow with this type of unit now using you JK could you chime in with how you like them. Wife and I do not need to get from point a to b fast,we are both retired now.

Thanks
WWR

I have a 18' side kick that is about 3000 lbs. But I have E brakes & a sway stabilizer too! At 65mph I tow it but I get about 7 - 9 MPG. The wife needed a pooper and a shower. Our pop up towed easier!

We've got a 2011 jayco jay series 1007 pop-up and we love it! Just under 3k with all my gear and stuff in it. Just got it in july but taken it on 2 trips and have gotten 13.8-14 mpg towing it on both trips. Im happy with that!! Last trip was this past weekend 2.5 hours from home up in the mountains so was very pleased with the MPG. I also have e-brakes.
