What does tread lightly do?

Tread Lightly is a great organization, but if you want a good deal, just keep your eyes open.
When I got my 2011 4 months ago, I searched every dealer near me. Then I saw an ad online that showed discounts totaling $3000 off. I went to the dealers near me to see if they'd beat it with no luck, they just don't discount these things.
Then I went to the one with the online ad. The salesman said it was a military discount, Jeep/Chrysler loyalty discount and some other stupid discount. He offered me $500 off cuz I didn't qualify for any of the "discounts."
I told him no deal. I pointed out that the ad said nothing about the different discounts you "may" be eligible for. All it said was $3000 discount.
I got a 2011 Deep Cherry Unlimited that was listed for $32,000 for $29,000.
