Default What is this knob?

I recently purchased a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4 door. I noticed this knob on driver side below gear shift and 4 wheel drive shifter. It rotates. I do not know what it is for, I could not find any info in the manual. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Definitely aftermarket, someone added something along the way to suit their needs. Could be a subwoofer adjustment but no way to know for sure until you start digging in. Time to pop the console apart and start sleuthing. Good luck!

Yup, not factory, and likely not doing anything that the previous owner had it doing.

The device itself looks like a power mirror adjustment control knob

I did at first. Then I edited my post to suggest the OP trace the wires from the small rotary knob.

I saw your reply and I had to go double check cuz I figured I must have seen it all wrong based on your initial response . I guess I had my browser sitting on that thread for a while before actually posting and didn't see the edit.

That’s a bit of a mystery! It’s possible the knob was added as part of an aftermarket modification. Many Jeep owners customise their vehicles with things like auxiliary light controls or winch controls, which might not be mentioned in the manual. You could try tracing any wires leading from it to see what it’s connected to. This reminds me of how optimised performance in web development ensures everything runs smoothly and intuitively—something like an angular migration service can be key in keeping websites responsive and user-friendly. Similarly, discovering what the knob does will hopefully add some clarity and functionality to your setup! Let us know what you find!
