What is the max size tire that fits on factory JK bumper?

35's i believe, and i think its a tight fit then... besttop does have this thing that'll bolt to the tailgate where the current tire carrier is and it can be adjusted to fit up to 37" on it with the stock bumper.

there are also a number of companys making these relocator brakets that move the tire up a few inchs on the stock carrier so that you can fit a 35 with no worries on it being pressed againts the bumper.

My 35's fit perfect with aftermarket rims.

The offset of the rim will be the determining factor.
I don't believe a 35, on the stock rim, will fit on the tailgate without a spacer.

I have seen a 37 on one but it was really really and really pushing it.

you're going to eventually bend or break your stock tire carrier with a 35x12.50 tire on it.

I don't know about this. Mine fits pretty good with 5"backspace. They also have extended tire bumpstops that keep the tire from wobbling with less backspacing. There is no way I would even bother with a 37", however.
