What should I do?
I installed the TF 2.5 kit a while ago, and while greasing the new rear sway bar links, one of the grease nipples broke off in my grease gun. I installed it for now, but I guess I'll need a new one eventually. I emailed Quadratec and Teraflex about it early last week and neither one of them replied. Am I on my own here? Is this normal? I would like to get a replacement for it, but I don't think I should have to pay for it... I will I have to I guess. It bugs me that neither company could even reply saying "sorry, can't help you out."
I guess you are talking about a ZERK fitting. These are available locally from almost any auto parts chain for about a buck. Also available are cheap sets of easy outs, the small one will dig into the center hole of your broken ZERK fitting and will turn the broken piece out. You can also grind an old screwdriver down, insert it into the broken ZERK, and turn it out if not too tight....take the broken ZERK thread piece with you so you can get the correct size replacement.
Unfortunately some things have to be dealt with, even if unjust... best of luck!

Get a new part for your grease gun at Auto Zone or where ever, and while you're at it get a $12 box of assorted grease fittings.
You'll need some of the 45 and 90 degree ones so you can install fittings on everything so that you can actually get to them with the gun.
And get the longer hose for your grease gun, you'll be glad you did. And don't use one of those little "hand" grease guns unless it's to back up your full size lever gun.
Mine is maybe as old as I am, it's a Stewart Warner. My father had it back in the 60's when he ran a generator/starter/alternator shop.
And all the other fittings you won't need, think of your buddies in their non Jeep rigs, an all the other stuff in your driveway.
This might be the first but won't be the last one you'll break!

Yeah, I did the same thing while greasing my trailer axels once except I choose to break it off. For some reason it was stuck on the Zerk fitting and even pulling as hard as I can can I could not pull the hose off. After choosing to break it I realized they were easily replacable. Like the previous post said, go to any auto parts store and they will have both the zerk fittings and a new end for your grease gun.
A set of "Easy Outs" is a great thing to have. Just try not to bugger up the threads. Depending on how tight (rusted) the bolt, in your case zerk is, Easy Outs won't always work. You may have to do some precision drilling and carefully pick away the remains from the threads with something like a sharp ice pick or awl. By all means don't break off the Easy Out off in the hole. Something this new, and small, you souldn't have a problem doing that. Let's just hope the Easy Out works the first time.....
Good Luck...

Right on, thanks for the replies guys. I'm glad I can just replace the zerk fitting. In my email I had asked that very question, but for some reason forgot about it being an option. A quick email reply from either company would have been really appreciated still
There is a Zerk fitting tool that you can buy for about $5.00. It has the easy out on one side, a hex socket (that has a cut out for 90 and 45 deg zerks) on the other and a driver for the non threaded zerks that are just hammered in place and a tap for threaded zerks.
