I had a hard top YJ and a soft top TJ. If it wasn't for the Freedom Top, I would get another soft top for the convenience of putting it down anytime. But I liked how much quieter and secure (feeling) the hard top on the YJ was. The Freedom Top allows the convenience of a soft top while giving the satisfaction and security of the hard top. In my opinion, it is the perfect top! And I think it looks better.

The Sunrider function of the soft top is fantastic, have it on my 04 Unlimited. Papabear

You need another option for the Freedom top. Unless your tracking it as a hardtop?

I initially ordered only the hard top (Freedom).

After looking at aftermarket prices on soft tops, and really thinking through how we would use the Jeep in the spring/summer/fall months where we would want th top off....having the sunrider top just made sense...we didn't care to get 100+ miles from home with the hard top in the garage, and have a summer rain storm come up on it, causing us to high tail for home....much better to have the option to stop, spend a couple of minutes putting the soft top back up, and continue on.

Yet, in the winter, the hard top would be preferred....way too much ice throughout the winter...sometimes getting literally an 1 inch think sheet in windows needing to be scraped off...much rather have the glass, rear winder defogger, and wiper for those months.

Quickly changed the order to the dual tops.
