Default What we NEED

I really like all the bumpers, rock rails, etc... so far for the JK, but I was thinking about things we need for the JK that seem to not be of much interest to the vendors so far. This isn't a complaint but more of a wth?

1. How about stronger hood latches? I mean we all deal with a major hood flap in the wind that has actually caused some concern for some of my passengers.

2. A pillar gauge mounts. The lower section of the inside a pillar cover could be replaced with one that will hold gauges. How about an oil pressure gauge, battery voltage gauge, transfer case temp gauge etc...

3. A cover to block the massive mud and water flow in the back quarter panel. You know, the one that is covered with a 1/2" thick foam pad. It doesn't work and that area will hold 30 pounds of mud and dirt. Can you say " Hey why did it rust out my body in the back in 3 years?"

4. Better brake pads and rotors. I ran through front and rear brake pad sets before 15000 miles.

5. A programmer that costs less than $200 to reset tire size or one that does more than setting tire size.

6. Wheels. I realize that there are several wheels available, but we could use a larger choice in design.

7. Maybe a different design a pillar driving light bracket that stick out further as not to block the view from inside.

Anyway just some suggestions.

Default Hood Latch

Yeah Thanks for posting about the Hood Latch... I scare myself everday, let alone any passengers I may have. Plus, I have heard of the rubber stops on the hoods coming out. What is up with that?!

There's a real easy fix for that hood problem.

I did that fix and it did seem to help in the beginning I don't think it is working now. I don't know if the rubber straps stretched or what.

I had to use my boot lace to tie it down. Real scary part is that it held better than the rubber
