What would you do?
So, Im looking at getting a rubicon less than 6 months from now... just trying to make sure I make the right choice.
A rubicon is the only model I am interested in, so that part is settled.. but with the talks of diesels coming out possibly in 2013-2014.... I have some hesitation about buying. But IF diesels are put in, Im sure it will push the jeep into the 40's, if not close to it.. which will be out of my price range. I keep thinking, of how nice a diesel would be, but at the same time, people have been running JK's for years, fine on the old V6's and starting over on the new motor. So, here are my choice's, that I've considered so far...
2012 Rubicon with mods...
Try and find a 08'ish model for mid 20's which should leave me enough from what I was going to use on the 12' and supercharged it, plus mods....
Wait until the 2013 comes out to see if there's any diesel in sight?

My other vehicle is a 07 Ram 3500. 3 years ago owning a diesel was an awesome idea but have you compared your diesel price per gallon vs gasoline ?
In South Carolina diesel is 3.79 and up where as gas is 3.09
Why wait. Just suck it up and go out right now and pick your 2012 Rubi up.
You can get awesome pricing on the 2012's and slowly start moding it
And in 6 or 7 months from now you can look back and enjoyed your new Jk with 6 or 7 months of payment completed.
Oh yeah and he is right you might not make till next year.

We have been going to get a diesel every year since 2007 in N. America we are not getting a diesel anytime soon.
Exhaust spacers if you are lifting MORE than 2.5'' that is all I know about as far as needed to lift 2012 JKs.
Tuners and exhaust, springtime is what I have heard.
