Default What would you do?....

I've been working a lot these past couple weeks and I'll will have some extra money saved up by next month.. Would you buy an xd40 handgun or a bumper/winch. I've been dying to put a new front bumper on to replace my chopped up stocker but I also want a gun really bad.. I used to have an ak-47 but sold that awhile back. Not sure what I should do????

Depends. Do you conceal carry? If so, how bad of places do you tend to venture? Do you have any other weapons for home defense? About the bumper; it's a functional / cosmetic change, so not really a priority.

My vote, defense first, but if that's covered, mod up the Jeep.

Hope I helped.

Cheers!

^^I agree. Getting caught w/o a gun when you need one would be worse than getting caught w/o a winch when you need one!!

Get the Springfield.

I have three of the xd series from 9mm up to 45. Great guns, never had an issue.

This years return is going to a super tricked out ar15

Yea my gf and I went camping and I felt like I needed to have a gun so her dad gave me a little 4 barrel .22 for protection. It was a little awesome gun but I felt like an asshole borrowing it lol. I don't have my conceal permit but I can always get that later. I guess XD It is!

Get a handgun, but don't get an xd40. Stick with 9 or .45.

.40 S&W over-penetrates.

XD's are great handguns, as are most modern handguns in the same price range.

Don't fall for the troll of a caliber debate. Get whatever you want. If the XD is going to be your carry piece, try it out in the setup as you would carry it first. Many feel the XD is a little too thick for conceal carry.

This is true, if you were getting a winch and bumper you could get two really nice firearms

I would get the pistol over winch/bumper. That said, I already have a pistol I carry everywhere and don't have a bumper/winch yet.
