Whats the big deal about diesel?

The letter D comes before the letter G which is the first letter in Gasoline which makes it better, jk, um well for starters people say gas mileage, more grunt, and more low end torque for climbing things.

Is so EXPENSIVE!! It seems like it will all equal out with how much money one can put in for gas and miles u get out of it

Diesel is so expensive that to me its about the same cost for fuel.

Diesel fuel might cost more but a properly tuned diesel will get well more than what we are getting in these V6's. But that's not even important whether mileage is a wash or not, diesels produce amazing torque at very low rpms. With the big tires, heavy bumpers/armor, gear, etc. A diesel engine wouldn't even notice the vehicle has extra weight on it.

The torque is the only benefit in my opinion. People are just cry baby's' and expect to have everything. People on here and other sites run 40's + on the 3.8 and don't complain no where near as much as people with 30's-35's.

mileage! my brother in law is running a dodge 2500 quad cab, he's averaging around 32 mpg. given he has alot of mods on the engine. things i know about, a cam, turbo modes, propane injection, banks six gun, he also injects washer fluid into the engine, i guess to lower his EGT's. i asked about the cost of all the modes to get good mileage and he told me he had around 10k in his mode. so the question is how bad do you hate the your 3.8?
