With the (not so new) add campaign I get asked at least once a week "You bought a Jeep?" - more irritating than dumb, but it starts getting to you.

LOL, I have really liked your jeep since if have joined.

Stupid question: when I had my 07 Jku I was asked by a guy at a store " I see the snorkel do you use it or is it just for looks." I didn't know how to answer there was a clear water or mud line should I say over the hood just got done wheeling.

Default I have 3

1.) How do you get up in there? not that high, 3.5 lift on 35's.

2.) Wouldn't it be better to have the puller (winch)on the other side?

3.) Are we really going up that?

I had an 07 JKU Sahara...my wife had a Mitsubishi Montero Sport...traded that in for a car...then for a Tahoe....then she stole my JK when I was at work!!

Finally she said "I want my own Jeep and I want it NOW!!!" Took her for some test drives with the '13s...damn...I fell in love with the newer models...

So now we have two Rock Lobster JKU's in the driveway, one Sahara (Hers) and a Rubicon (duh).

Now....the silly questions.

Why do you have two Jeeps?
Why are they the same color? (Actually I wanted the Desert Tan, wife wanted us to match, Okay, the only time I don't care if we have something matching...I got a new Jeep!)
Why is one dirtier than the other? (Wife is a clean freak....I don't care, there is a reason why its a "Utility Vehicle")
FIL is old...well 71...think he has issues... What kind of mileage does this thing get? (I get asked that every week when I drive him home)(I took his F-150 and use it for dump runs since he is a drunk and almost crashed into the trailer we bought for him)
Why do you do that??!! (The wife everytime I drive through a huge puddle on the road....because I am too busy working to get to go offroading in my lack of free time)

As for the silly questions people have posted about lifts and such....I'm ignorant about that stuff...so shyly raising hand if that was me. This is my 3rd Jeep, never modded beyond bumpers, want to learn. Drove HUMMV's in the Army....can't buy Army standard...Civilian ones suck...Got a Jeep! Obviously I haven't regretted it.

Question: Did you have any problems getting around last [Chicago, ill.] winter? (?)

Answer: NO...except when i turn down a narrow side street to be behind a young mother who doesn't know how to park (or drive) her mini-van.

Probably the most annoying question I've ever been asked is......"Aren't you a little old for a Jeep?"....Geeez Louise....I'm only 70......

How do you get in that thing with a suit on everyday? Would you drive it to the client site?

I have been asked several times if I won my Jeep in a contest. Not sure what contest these people are referring to, but I take it as a compliment that my efforts look prize-worthy.
