What's the Dumbest/Silliest Question You've Been Asked About Your Jeep?
Had my soft top down and secured to my Jeep. Pumping gas and a man came over to me and said, "You would be in some trouble if it rained". I simply replied, "No, I can put the top back on." He looked extremely confused.
I was eating ice cream with my daughter and there was a dad with two teenage daughters sitting next to me. I hear them talking about my jeep and the two daughters are talking about how often Jeeps "flip over". The dad finally asked me "how many times have you flipped your Jeep?"
I looked at him, deliberately for a few seconds with confusion, and asked if my Jeep looks as if it ever "flipped over". He says "well, I tell my kids they aren't getting a jeep because they always flip over. I asked him when is the last time he saw a jeep "flip over". He said he never has. I then asked him if he realizes the rigs that have flipped over, were likely off road, being driven erratically or avoiding a collision. He persisted that Jeeps just flip over. I looked over my shoulder at my jeep and said "It's still on its wheels, but you can let me know when you see it flip over".
Yeah, I have fun with people like this.....

I don't see that any of these questions are dumb. As a retired Military instructor I always told my students that the only dumb question is the one that isn't asked. Yes I own a JKU and drive it off road all over Arizona. In my view when I'm asked a variety of these questions it is mainly from people that are very curious and also are thinking of buying a Jeep. I get asked questions mainly when returning to my Jeep in a parking lot outside of stores or in mauls.
You're missing the point, man. One of the main benefits of being a Jeep owner is that you can be condescending towards other people, since you have joined the ranks of elitists who are somehow simultaneously smarter, cooler, better at everything especially making choices of vehicle, more worthy, more manly, etc. than everyone else.
...
People ask Jeep owners questions when they don't know something. Sometimes people don't ask these Jeep owners questions when they don't know something, and they make up a wrong answer, often times making a bad assumption based on prejudices. Or some people don't ask Jeep owners questions because the last time they did the Jeeper was a condescending jerk that tried to make them feel like an idiot for asking a question.
