What's the Dumbest/Silliest Question You've Been Asked About Your Jeep?
you guys covered all the dumb questions i get! '14 fire red 4 door rubicon here. and yes, "is it 4 wheel drive?" gets old, really really fast..... it has a trail rated tag on each front fendor, wtf do you think sunshine?!

The world is full of idiots. But we don't have to tell you that, you own a Jeep. Not that you're an idiot for owning a Jeep, God no, that puts you in the 99th percentile of smart folks! But because you own a Jeep, you must put up with an unbearable amount of idiots asking you inane questions about your sweet ride. That's certainly the case with the good forum members who responded to our query seeking the dumbest questions ever posed about their Jeeps.

A local dealer has Jeep's they mod and call them the "Mercenary" option. So a lot of folks around here think it's a actual option from Chrysler to be able to get a Jeep with a lift and bigger tires. So I get asked all the time if mine is a Mercenary and that I bought it that way instead of built it. Makes me mad cause I have spent a lot of time and money building my Jeep the way I want it.
I don't know about the dumbest question I've been asked but I did get a dumb answer to a question one time.
A guy about my age (29) pulls up the while I am waiting in line at the redbox in a lifted JK with about a 4 inch lift, 35s,bumpers, flat fenders and doors off. He walks up and I smile and say nice jeep. He says thanks. I ask "what size lift does it have?" He looks at me with a weird look and finally says "aaahhh, I don't know." I said "what brand is it?" Again "I don't really know, but its a big one."
I must have been making a funny face at him because finally he says "dude I just bought it that way. I don't really know anything about it."

I get it, there is nothing wrong with buying a jeep with mods done to it already but please know something about it... There is no way I am the first one to ask him, I have seen that jeep around Sanger for three years.

I've had people tell me they like how I have my exhaust coming out of the hood.......uhh face palm. Or they ask what's the benefit of having my exhaust coming out of my hood at the windshield.
Don't be surprised! Silly questions are common also for other cars. At the moment, I specify... At the moment...
I own a RWD Bmw and many owners of my same model ask for what kind of traction it has, if it's RWD or FWD. The most part of them thinks it's a FWD...
Unbelievable....
