Default What's up with the grill screen inserts?

I've got to ask after seeing several "mods" with grill screen inserts. WHY? That cuts the air coming through the grill by at least 50%. Just begging to get mudded up and overheat. I know everyone will say "I haven't had a problem yet..." It still cuts the air flow to the radiator which means the engine will run hotter all the time even if it doesn't overheat.

Can't see any benefit to asking for heat problems.

I cuts the air down a bit, not 50%, but a bit. And when it does get full of mud and crap be glad it's on the inserts and not the radiator.

I installed mine after taking brush into the fins. I was very lucky it didn't pierce the tube.

If I was going to be driving through something, like it looks like you must have driven through, very often, I think I would design a screen to put on the front of your grill. Something you can put on or take off very easley, it would really cut down on the clean up time.
