whats your BPG ?
so every always talks about their MPG(miles per gallon) but we all know that our jeeps get low numbers on that scale, soooo i thought to cheer everyone up and make a new "Jeep Thing" we should start using BPG(blocks per gallon) so just post how many blocks you get per gallon for me its about 15
Of even greater utility of CPM: How many cents does it cost for you to drive a mile? My CPM is about 27 cents. Now, is it worth the extra five miles ($1.30) to drive to Walmart to buy that bag of potato chips, as opposed to picking it up at the much higher priced grocery store that's a half mile from the house?
How about the more important FPG stat? My wife's Toyota Matrix gets pretty good MPG, but very low FPG whereas the Jeep gets moderately low MPG but insanely high FPG.
For me, the Fun Per Gallon is where it's at.

Although there are real costs to driving the JK, they wash out it comparison to the joy I get driving it. I don't hesitate to take the long drive to "save money" even if it doesn't overall. For that matter, I don't hesitate to drive further just so I can drive further. Top down season is awesome. I always get a little sad when I put the hard top back on, but the plus would be that I usually am not aimlessly driving around just for the ability to be on the road and in my Jeep. 'Cept when it snows hard, then it is aimless time again.
My wife and I have taken many 50 mile drives to nowhere just to be out in the Jeep, and for me it is worth every penny. The "FPG" or "JPG" is just about the abolute cheapest entertainment I enjoy. I can cruise around town for 3 hours for less money than a movie, and often more enjoyment. A 4 hour drive in the mountains is cheaper than shooting my guns for 5 minutes. On and on. For the total cost vs the total enjoyment, I have never made a better choice, or cheaper per hour entertainment.
