Default Wheel Care?!

So, I was just checking out the manual for AEV bridger wheels (on Quadratec). It says if you live in salty conditions to wash them weekly. Then it says to follow up with a caranuba wax.

Now, I've never waxed my wheels before, and I'm not about to be out there in the middle of winter trying to do it. Is this supposed to be done with all wheels?

I was looking at ProComps, Mickey Thompson and the AEV's. If this is maintenance only associated with AEV's, I'm just going to cross them off my list.

yOU SHOULD APPLY WAX TO ALL SURFACES YOU WISH TO KEEP LOOKING NEW! aluminium, chrome and yes paint. Wax stops things from oxidizing and seals the poors in paint and metal.

Avoid all that salt and destroying your fancy rims and invest in a set of steel rims and winter tires to run in the winter. Then run your fancy rims in the spring to fall months.

Or

Use your stock rims on your JK for winter and your fancy rims with nice mudders for the spring to fall
