Default wheel centered?

ok, i have a 2 door on 35s.

i centered my steering wheel saturday and drove about 100 miles down the road to montgomery. and then back on sunday. now my steering is a little off-centered again... why does this happen?
is there somthing wrong with my steering system or is this semi-normal?

jsut curious.

im glad i have some mechanical ability or i would be going to the dealer every week to get them to "diagnose" why the esp is engaging so much when the steering wheel is off centered. probably for $100 a pop.

thanks

The bolts really do not have to be that tight to get them to stay, hand tightening should be more than enough. What you're probably experiencing is your steering wheel isn't completely centered and until you start driving and everything aligns itself back up, then you see that it's not centered.

ok, i will try to make sure of that next time, i have another quetion, i got quick disconnects for my sway bar but they didnt come with enough bolts to bolt them up. so i used the stock sway links. they are kinda short, i am planning on getting the longer links bolted up asap. could this be contributing to any of the premature esp activation?

just a thought.
