Default Wheel cleaning

Do any of you guys have any tricks to clean grime of wheels? I have xd hoss wheels and they are a bitch to clean.

1 part tide laundry detergent, ,10 parts water. Mix it up in a 2l bottle, spray the area wanted clean. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Hose off with the garden house. Safe for rubber lines and pretty much anything else, ive never had any problem. Dirt, grime, oil, silt, brake dust. Even 20 year old oil grime comes off nice and easy. I use it on old trikes I rebuild. Works like you would not believe...

I've wanted one of those mothers power balls to help buff the rims....but I just can't part with 30 bucks for foam.

Anyone made their own?

It's a little expensive but Honda Brite is great as a wheel cleaner and engine cleaner. Doesn't oxidize aluminum and cleans brake dust , grease and grime.
