Wheels
They used to be rims, spokes and hubs. Now it's just wheels, hmmm. So you can wheel and deal, steal the wheel, go wheels up, wheel around, be a big wheel, get on the wheel of fortune, eat a meal on wheels and have a nice set of wheels to give to your wheel man, but no more rim jobs
Honestly, considering how particular everyone is about part terminology, you would think they'd refer to one of the more basic components in it's entirety.
You're only referring to a part of the wheel when you say rim.
But, above all, you sound like you belong in a 'hoopty' forum when you call the wheel, a rim.
It just doesn't belong in our genre of automotive enthusiasm.
I realize people will to continue to call it what they will... I was simply making a suggestion.

at 40 i have called them rims for the past 30 years but i see hat now i must call them wheels in order to be correct
rim and tire use to = wheels...
i guess i'm like my father in law that calls lunch.. dinner cuz thats what the old time farmers called it... when someone says rim everyone knows what they mean so does it really matter... just saying
