When is a Jeep newbie, no longer a newbie?
A few to start with...
_ Caught in torrential rainstorm with no top or doors
_ Waved at by other Jeep driver and didn't notice until it was too late to return wave, then felt guilty afterwards
_ Had to explain to significant other/ coworkers/ friends why you would replace parts that weren't broken with other, more expensive parts

If I recall correctly, I think it was BigBlueJK (a member here) whose first few posts were actually of him rebuilding a junkyard JK. From the get-go he was no newbie. He clearly knows his shit from simple installs and lifts to advanced electrical and engine rebuilding.
So in my opinion, you're no longer a newbie once you've successfully completed your first major install/modification.
