The people in my office have asked, and I tell them I just bought a new Jeep. Unfortunately, because I'm working in an office in Connecticut, this leads them to conclude that I drive a Grand Cherokee. They'll start in with some story about how "so-and-so that I know/am related to/used to date/etc." used to and/or owns a Grand Cherokee, and that they're really nice. I just smile at them, and then say the same as superboo: "No, I drive a REAL Jeep."

Q: "what do you drive?"

A: "My family nuts" *

*not to be confused with family jewels, that is something altogether different.

JK........but i'm used to speaking in terms of CJ, YJ, TJ.....so it's habit, even though the J comes first now, which is a little odd.

Yeah, the "JK" designation is a bit odd... I think that they were initially going to go with "JJ" and offer up a "DY-NO-MITE!" edition, but the product planners scrapped the idea...

And all of us too!

Just kidding, I for one enjoy your wise cracks, I think I could hang with you!

By the way I say a Jeep! If they ask further I tell them Wrangler, the only way to go.

This is truly a difficult question to answer because hardly anyone who is not very familiar with Jeeps knows what the JK is. If you say "4-door Jeep", most people think Cherokee. If you say Wrangler, most people think two-door Jeep with soft top. If you say "Jeep that looks like the H3", then Jeep people get upset.

I'm saying "4-door Jeep Wrangler" right now. Hopefully, as more people know what it is, I'll be able to say Jeep JK. Most everyone knows what a Jeep CJ is by now. I guess I'll have to keep this one for about 25 years.
