When is it time???
My JK is a 2009, I bought her new and now have 44g on her. Is there a point, whether it be mileage or time(years) that you should replace your battery? My battery is the original battery that came in my jeep.
There really is no set mileage or time frame. Seems like the average battery lasts somewhere 5-6 years in mild conditions. That can be much shorter or much longer depending on how it's used, and the climate, like really hot and really cold climates are pretty hard on them.
Sometimes you get lucky and can tell when one is going out...the Jeep might struggle to turn over in between bouts of starter solenoid clicking, but will still fire. Most times it seems the damn thing just quits and you find out when you've got somewhere to be.

According to the owner's manual we're not supposed to use that method anymore but I still do just to ensure that it'll work in a pinch.
I replaced my battery after 2 weeks. The lack of handles on it made me want to change it on my terms instead of the jeep's.
