Question When we will get powerful JK engine???????????

We all miss i6 engine. It was powerful engine. The engine in the new JK doesn’t have power like what we want. See FJ, it has 239hp at 5200rpm. Nice power.
I hope they will offer 260hp engine that’s in nitro
What do u think...........

I think people need to stop complaining about the engine. This engine is perfectly powerful for what it was designed for. No offense but if you want a ton of power get a hot rod.

I don't think an engine with 250 horsepower is too much to ask of Jeep. Once you add heavy aftermarket wheels, tires, and bumpers, you need all the power you can get just to make the things bearable on the highway. I'm holding off on getting a Wrangler until I can get one with a peppier engine. I'm not a speed racer--I just live in the mountains and can't stand that 3.8L and its severe lack of grunt.

I'm happy with the 3.8L, it gets better mpg than the I6 on a heavier vehicle too. W/ the manual tranny it doesn't seem to lack power. I also have 3.73 so that helps a little.

Even with regearing I still think the 3.8L has a terrible torque curve for high altitude mountain driving. I can floor a JK with 4.10 gears and it still takes me 12 and a half days to pass the truck next to me.

Come on, Jeep! Where is the low-end torque?!

It's true the 4.0 had a little better low-end, however the 3.8 in the wifes JK is not bad. We have the 4dr automatic with 4.10's and I can live with it at an average of 15 mpg in town and 21 on the highway. Much better than my 94XJ with 4.10's and 33's that gets 11 in town and 18 on the highway.
