Default Where the hell are.....

Now that it is warming up outside, I am wondering where the hell are the:

Soft doors, Tube Fenders and any other parts that they "teased" us with months ago. I am getting tired of hearing that parts are being "developed" and will be available...... Not yet!

I'm with you. In the age of computer added design and the long history of a Jeep after market, its time for them to get off there asses and get to it.

Some of these guys have had a Jeep to prototype this stuff on going on 2 years. and still we wait, and when they release it, it costs a mint.

No kidding! I'm going to be putting the soft top on in a month and I want my soft doors to go with it.
The last word from bestop was three to six months on the soft doors.

How freaking hard is it to bend some metal into a frame, throw some canvas on the door and ship them. I'd take a one piece door if it would come out faster! They had a set on the red rock JK at the SEMA show a couple of months ago! Do they not realize the money they would make if they were the first ones making these? I think they would sell like crazy, better than dusters, windjammers and crap like that, because they are the only ones that will make them. My credit card is poised and ready once they are made.

This is why I am happy I have my half doors. I hate waiting on soft doors to be developed.

I feel your pain Army. The only thing I could say you might want to keep in mind is the very litigatious nature of our culture now. Party # 1 is ever ready to sue the crap out of Party # 2 because Party # 1 was doing something stupid and got hurt and killed. Then party # 1's family comes along and says "Oh no, not my boy, he was too smart and good to be doing somethng stupid. It must be the faulty product that caused his ills." So all these companies have to spend a lot of time making sure that whatever they release to the market is as "party # 1" proof as they can and enclose all kinds of legalease in the instructions to cover their butts. Just a theory.

I agree with you. It's almost like the people running the show at Bestop don't even own Jeeps or something. Come to think about it, why would I think they do? I mean people who design bulldozers probably don't own bulldozers, right? I'm rambling already, but you are definately right.
