While filling up at the gas station today.....
Another JK pulled up and we sat there and talked "jeep things" while our wife's sat there and gave us the stink eye the whole time haha! It's a jeep thing, does this kind of thing only happen to me..?
Similar event. Was at Sportsmans Warehouse in Rocklin Ca., and there were three Jeeps in the parking lot. I pulled in right between them both, and then another JK came in and pulled up next to us. Sat in the lot and just bs'd all things Jeep. I didn't have my cell, so no pics, but would have loved to post it. This is one of those days I love being a Jeep owner.
Love this. You don't need to know the other other person or anything about them. The Jeep gives you a common ground which instantly tells you that they have the same understanding as you.
It's why sometimes complete strangers get together to go Jeepin. Maybe you don't see eye to eye on all things but, once you hit that trail, nothing else matters.

Only had my Jeep maybe a month. One Saturday I told the wife I was only running to McDonalds drive thru for breakfast and back home to eat it. Another Jeep guy stops me in parking lot to talk. I got out and we talked 30 mins or so and my phone was at home (McDonald's was only 1 mile away).

Dang I hit send before I finished! By the time get home the wife thinks I've possibly been in an accident. It was funny trying to explain I had just ran into another Jeep guy in the parking lot and he wanted to talk- it had never happened to me either. Now anytime I run late she assumes I've bumped into another one wanting to talk. What a great life....
The other day a guy stopped to get the numbers off my tires and we ended up talking for 20 minutes about all things jeep. Jeep is the only brnad I've had with that kind of draw, and why I continue to come back to jeep and the jeep community.

I bought my black JKU Rubi on a Friday. That Sunday I took it to pickup dinner at a local Mexican restaurant. As I pulled in another JKU Rubi in crush pulled into the spot beside me. Oh yeah, we both got out smiling and instantly stated talking. Turned out he had bought his that Wednesday one town over. Even though we came from two completely different life styles, I'm a world traveled active duty military member in my early 30s and he was a local farmer in his late 50s that had never been more than three hours away from the place that he was born, we set there and talked for about 45 mins about anything and everything.
I had always driven some kind of "special interest" vehicle my whole life. They were usually old Ford muscle cars or pickups from the 50s, 60s or 70s. I've had stuff like this happen many times before. But I never thought that there was anything I could buy new off the lot that had that draw. I'm glad I could join the Jeep community. It gets me hope that everybody out there isn't forgetting that automobiles aren't just appliances used to get from point A to point B. Like Eddie says, "It's a way of life".
