I only wanted a convertible that was 4wd in order get through the soft sand on the beach. There wasn't too many choices.

My question is not a joke. Many guys and girls buy a JK because they like the look, and they like driving topless and doorless. Example: I know a few 2X4 owners in this forum.
I am a Jeeper, and I RESPECT ALL THE JEEPERS.

More than 33,000 members are in this forum. It can be interesting to know why some jeepers don't wheel.
I have a horrible bad back problem, topped off with Lupus and Fibromyalgia, and although, I did not know, that I was not going to be able to go wheeling, when I got the Jeep, once my doctors found out that I had a jeep and wanted to go even "easy wheeling", no dice! So, now I enjoy it for everything that I can! I drive topless and doorless whenever I can, and my Robo-Jeep fits me just fine! I LOVE my JK! I only wish that it didn't have as many problems, as it has. But, I will now and forever be a Jeep Gurl, there is NO TURNING BACK----EVER!!! It is my favorite vehicle that I have EVER owned!

I off road mostly on my ATV's. Mud, rocks, hills, trails, sloughs and river crossings. My Jeep wheeling is pretty light. Easy woodsy trails and a bit of mud. Whatever I can easily do without wrecking anything. BUT I am trying to build my Jeep one piece at a time. By the time it's paid for it should have everything it needs for more challenging stuff. I'll also have more money for when something breaks or gets damaged. Right now most of my money is just put into payments so there isn't much extra. I'm looking forward to messier times in my Jeep!

I've got a 2wd JK unlimited I wouldn't say that I wheel, but I have taken my jeep on 4wd trails. Like this "el Solitario" volcano at big bend state park, over 40 miles of varying difficulty off road trails to get here. My jeep is somewhere in the bottom right of the collapsed volcano down there. and we hiked a mile or so to this ridge on no trails, to get the view.

That being said I do plan on putting a Dana 44 in the front with a 4:1 transfer case and some Texicon stickers on the hood. So if anyone knows of a great deal on these parts, let me know

I've done no "wheeling" with my Jeep. Other than the times it's been offroad taking me up a hunting trail and when parked on the sand at the beach, my jeeps is strictly on pavement. Down here in South Florida unless you're mudding it, there aren't too many interesting places to wheel. I enjoy driving the jeep for its top down, doors off appeal and my kids and dogs love cruising in it.

Plus, I like knowing that if I HAD to go offroad in an emergency, i'm driving the right vehicle to do it in.

When I bought it I had no clue what "wheeling" was lol. But I quickly got addicted and now go as often as I can. I joined a club and the mods have started. I think I have put money into mods on it than I have paid off on the loan... oh my. But its just so much fun!

I don't get to go anywhere near what i had planned when i bought it. The land i had wheeling access to was sold shortly after i brought it home, some others was fenced off or posted a year or so after that; mostly because atv'ers fekked it up for everyone.

I have to drive about two hours to get to any place worth dirtying a tire at. My health and therefor financial situation limits my funds for fuel & as I need it for a daily driver and can't risk breaking it at this point, it doesnt get much dirt time. Mods went on indefinite hold & the dirt time i do get is just short sections of powerline or gasline trails. more muddy than anything else and pretty boring.

It sucks and I hate it, but those are the cards i was dealt.
