Who's going to Moab Safari over Easter?
 

Well, I searched and couldn't find a thread about this anywhere other than the Socal section. Thought I'd try to get it out in the open a bit.

I'm curious who all will be going to the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab. The dates this year are March 15-23.

Also, is there any interest in getting together for a dinner or drinks with some of the JK folks that are going? I wouldn't mind meeting some folks from here, and I'd love to shake WOLs and any Mods hands for starting and maintaining such a great resource for JK owners.

I'll be there with my wife and kids, a coworker with his '07 JK Unlmtd. Rubi, and a friend with his '06 TJL Rubicon. My family and I will be staying at the Comfort Suites Thursday - Monday.

Looking forward to the trip and seeing everyone!

We will be in attendance, and I cannot wait to get out and hit some trails in my rig! :)

I'll be there, not sure if I'll have my JK or my XJ there, (depending if I can sell XJ for goodies for JK). TeraFlex is always in the building right by the stage with a big display.

There are 5-6 rigs in our group heading out to Moab UT on Friday for Easter Jeep Safari including my JK and my Dad's JK Unlimited (Hemi, Atlas 4spd, RE LA kit, 37's etc). Staying all week!
Who else is going this year?

I just had an ARB locker installed in my Saraha and cant wait to try it out.

I got my trail choices for Jeep Safari.

wipe out hill on friday.
Tip toe behind the rocks on Sat.

Will be staying at The Riverside Inn, anyone else.

If my wife and I make it, we would be there the second weekend. Probably the 21st through the 23rd. Very short stay for us, but it's only a four hour drive so that's no big deal. :bleh:

No way I can make it for the Safari. :naw: But we are going with our son and his family in April. :ya: Looks like we will have the trails to ourselves.

Me too!! I'll be at the KOA in town.

I hate you!!:mad: It's about 17 hours for me. :tearsdrip: At over 3.50 per gallon of diesel. :boohoo:

Moab room
 

I am holding a reservation at The Bowen motel on Main street in Moab. Thurs -Sat should I cancel it or does someone here need it. I booked it a while back then found a room at the Riverside Inn. It is nothing too grand but any room is hard to get for easter. Let me know.

Oh yea......I really didn't want to rub it in but... I was going to be in Moab from March 20th till the 23rd, but my work schedule, it so happens, I get to stay for the whole week after! So hopefully the trails will be alot less crowded! There are a few of my buddies that are going to be there from the 20th till the 28th! Luckily I know a few people I can wear my welcome out there!

Sorry, the room is $79.00 a night for a queen bed. I have never stayed there but was the only room available at the time.

I completely discounted going to this before reading a thread about the EJS about a month ago and talking with a couple of people, since I am very very new to real off-roading (read: I have never before driven on a stone so big as to fit my entire Jeep on it). After some advice from Toad and a guy from Off-Road Evolution, I decided to go about a week and a half ago. Fortunately, I was able to still get a few trail reservations in with Red Rock 4 Wheelers and get an ok price on a hotel room downtown at the Moab Valley Inn...I'll be at EJS from the 16th-22nd. I got Fins and Things on Monday, Copper Ridge on Tuesday, Hellroaring Rim on Wednesday, and 3D on Saturday. I'd love to get together with all you Forum-JK'ers out there that are going. Feel free to PM me and I'll give you my cell-phone number and all that good stuff!:2thumbs:

Loaded up and ready to roll, but the wife is having some medical issues that
look like they're working themselves out, so hopefully she'll be well and we can
hit the road. Started out last year and had my own medical melt down and had
to cancel the trip. Starting to get paranoid.:eek2:
