I like the looks of the 17" wheels on my new JK but I hate the fact that there is a very limited selection of tires available at that size.

Has anybody out there heard any rumors that there will be more tire offerings in these sizes in the not-so-distant future?

I am really interested in finding a set of 33x10.5x17. I had a set of BFG ATs on my TJ a few years back in 33x10.5x15 and absolutely loved them. Especially the fact that at 10.5, they fit perfectly on the stock rims, fit on the stock spare tire carrier, and most importantly, fit perfectly under the stock flares.

I have heard that the 2005 Dodge Ram PowerWagon came with BFG ATs in 33x10.5x17 but cannot find that size currently offered by any manufacturer for any tire.

Anybody else wish that Jeep would have stuck with 15" rims?

Oh well... I'm just venting I guess.

 

I have 285/70/17 bfg AT's which are around 32.7x11.2/17. They fit real nice but I would rather have 15" or 16" wheels b/c the tires look so much bigger with smaller wheels and its better for airing down and they are cheaper. But I the 285/70/17 is a real good size for fitment.

Heres the only ones I got. I think they would look a lot better if they had more side wall, so i might be going to a 15 or 16.
