'Tis true. I didn't upgrade the trackbar or relocate after lifting and my boot is still intact.

Mine has been torn since the first time being disconected. Its been ripped for almost a year now and no problems. My mechanic friend says just put some grease in every now and then and I should be fie. He also says as long as the one nearest the transfer case isnt split no worries. sees them all the time and no problems.

Default Coast 1310 Driveshaft

I would check out the Coast 1310 Front Drive Shaft from Dave at Northridge 4x4. They run about $450. I'll be replacing mine at some point, and this is what I'll be going with.

Good luck!

i run tom woods and there working perfectly for me. price is 450. there custom built to the length u need.. imo pretty much any aftermarket double cardan style will work way better than stock..

I had replaced my front DS because I thought that was what you were supposed to do when you rip the boot. No other options as far as I can tell after doing much research. Either you will end up breaking stock DS and deal with that damage or busted up TCase and deal with that. Google it up and make an informed decision on what poison you would like to take.

Just be warned that it is a possibility though...
Improper pinion angles is the cause, not an aftermarket shaft.

I think you may need to go back and read all the posts in your link that was pasted, it's not the addition of an aftermarket drive shaft that destroyed a transfer case. It has more to do with the amount of lift, drive line angles, castor settings, and/or pinion angles.....not the install of a drive shaft. The angle of the driveshaft, if too severe, is the culprit.

thanks again, about the front shaft, why not 1350, I heard that 1310 is weaker than stock. I am ready to order Tom wodd from quadratec Tom Wood's Front 1350 Drive Shaft for 07-11 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK
Item Number: 52301.9810. Is this right?????
