Default Why, why, why??

I just dont understand it... so the other day i was at walmart and i pull up next to a bone stock white 2dr hard top jk. I pull up next to it just because i always park next to other jeeps... so anyway im pulling up and im thinking to myself...(man that would look good if it was done up...Then i see a rubicon sticker... I dont know how i didnt see it from the start (like noticing the tires or shocks or anything) so i get out and im like...hmmm i wonder why i couldnt tell it wasnt a ruby....

The dude removed the stock ruby tires and put like car tires on it...It looks like he removed the stock shocks as well and put some kinda bobo shocks down there. Im not sure what they were but they looked cheap.

I didnt wanna crawl all over his car looking around so i just left it at that, but i just cant believe it. I fought and fought trying to find a rubicon when i got mine and still never got one, this guy either got one and mutilated it, or he has a X and just stuck ruby stickers on it or something... either way i just dont know what to think... I saw him again today and i was trying to get a glimpse of his front axle to get the definite answer, but im still not sure....

in the "ricer" world, those are called "sleepers" Yea probably the only way to check would be the front diff. You can find those decals anywhere so the only definite answer would be the diff

Badge it how you like if you bought it. I don't care. Those who know will know it's not a rubi. I'm proud of my X and what it can do. Not my cup of mod but...

I have simulated beadlocks Procomp 8179 and a real crawler with true beadlocks might make the poser statement.

I tend to agree, to each their own. Maybe the guy put on road tires due to his high road mileage and can swap on his M/Ts for off-roading. Maybe it was a poseur Rubi. I've never understood why people get so bent about people putting Rubicon stickers on their non Rubi's. I wouldn't do it, but who cares? Maybe if I owned a Rubi I would care.

I contempated having a second set of tires for everyday use and a set for offroading, but with a Rubi, I couldn't even consider anything less than an AT for my DD use.

Maybe he is in the middle of a lift and his tires haven't come in yet - or he's on a Budget and had to sell his two jet ski's to get the $$$ to finish it. Wonder how people pick on your ride when you're not there.
