Why would this be?
Ok- so my Jeep is on the shop for the JK rear main seal fix...so I have been driving hubbos yj...It really seems that his Jeep is less windy that mine? why? My jeep is so windy that I can't wear baseball caps...only my cowgirl cap and I have to really tighten the chin strap...where yesterday in hubbos jeep my hair was blowing but not at hurricane force speeds?? Any idea why? Why would the JK be windier????? Hmmmmmmm....

I assume you have doors off on both because if I recall that is how you have been driving recently. You need to keep in mind two things the JK is longer and has more open space than the YJ. It creates a diffrent "wind tunnel" effect. I am no rocket scientist or airplane engineer but I know the longer and wider a wing is the more lift it gets. I would figure the same forces are at work. Also have you noticed everything blows forward in the JK. Not sure if it does in the YJ but especialy the daughters riding in the back get thier hair blown forward around thier face if not wearing something. It is not so bad for the wife in the front but the back gets hit hard with the wind.
Either cut your hair shorter or don't wear lip gloss!
I wonder if something like the Bestop Windjammer would help. Most convertibles (cars) offer a wind blocker that attaches to or behind the headrests to combat the same issue. If there is such thing as a mesh windjammer, that would likely be ideal.

My wife and girls have cured it. They wear bandannas around thier head. These ride in the glovebox of the jeep and come out when we go places. It looks funny as hell but it keeps the hair under control. Both my wife and the youngest have long hair down to mid/lower back and have to do this to survive. Of course my oldes usually does not wear hers. Her hair is shorter and she loves it in her face. She even smiles when I say something about it. The danged tom boy also will not brush it unless nagged and does not own a skirt or dress. Much less put on lip gloss or nail polish.
On our last little vacation, the wife and I bought "Jeep hats." That is, hats to wear in the Jeep for when I have the top down... for me, to keep my head from getting too sunburnt (I keep my hair really short) or wet if it starts to drizzle (it's a boonie-style camo hat with chin-stap). And for her, she got a cute little baseball cap that fits her head well to keep her hair from blowing all over the place... although a couple of times on the highway she's had to hold the brim of the cap to keep it from blowing off!
