his last post said it's when he opens the door TO START IT ?? so if that's the case then I don't think it's the fan.

Its the multi disc changer shutting down. Open the door, head unit turns off, CD's go back in their slot????

Sorry, I have no idea. I'd guess something electrical unless there's some pressure build up (air/water) bleeding off somewhere?????...then again, it could by the voices.:toung:

Mine has always made this noise. I have the single disc radio (RES).

The noise is after turning off the Jeep. The noise is there whether you open the door or do not open the door.

It does not sound like a fan. It is not very loud but it sounds like a very heavy duty motor running (like a hydraulic pump pressurizing something). Lasts about 2 or 3 seconds.

Really sounds like it is under the hood at the rear of the engine. I think it's normal but I really wonder what it is...
