It's not a jeep, but I just gotta tell this - It's a family legend. My father-in-law has, well a little too much money. He had a new Audi A8 a few years ago, and after a year the ashtrays were full, so he figured he needed a new one. He came home one day with a brand new Audi A8, in the next years' model (2008?), in the exact same colour, and never told his wife! After 2 months of her riding in it with him, he couldn't take it any more and told her!
'Oh' she says, 'I thought the window button was supposed to be over here...'
My brothers-in-law and I can't figure out why we can't get away with stuff like that too!

Im a crane operator. So I have alot of free time at work. So I usually get the what the he'll did u buy now phone call. Lmao. She has threatened me to take my phone away. Lol

My wife gets mad every time she sees me on the forum or looking at quadratec's website. She's just jealous that her 4runner isn't a jeep and there are not near as many accessories for it. She now wants a lift and bigger tires. If she's not careful I'll order them for her! Lol then I'll have all the excuses I need to mod out my jeep. She doesn't understand why i'd like new bumpers. Anyway buy the wife something nice first and then get your mod. Don't ask her about it just tell her how it works once you install it.

probably more than half the stuff on my jeep my wife bought for me, and the jeep too! 
so I don't try and hide anything, i just tell what i think i want and if it doesn't turn up with in a month i go buy it myself.

Great thread!! My two rules:
A: Tell her it is something that is necessary. Example, old 33 inch tires are worn out so I had to buy 35s which caused me to have to lift it which means I had to change the gears.
B: Ship it to a buddies house then go over to 'watch the game' when the parts come in.
