so i never thought i would need or want a winch...

until i got about 3 feet from the crest of a steep, wet, muddy, hill and promptly began to spin...

i would like a quality winch... for a basic expedition bumper... how much should i look to pay?

i dont need the air compressor, generator, or cappuccino machine attachments... just something to pull me up a hill or out of a ditch.

Just wait to go wheeling with me. I'll winch you out. Well that is when my bumper comes and I can get it all installed.

But, seriously from all of the messages I've read (and I read allot before buying mine) pretty much any will do. People even seem to like the cheaper ones. I went with the Powerplant, because I like the Warn brand and I wanted the air compressor.

 

Shrockworks will sell a winch with synthetic for an extra $169
