Default window tint

was looking into getting my front windows tinted to match the back, around 20% from what I've read so far, and I decided to see how much of the windshield I could tint as well. I'm tagged in Texas, and TX state law says that you can tint from the top down to the AS-1 line, however there are no marks on the windshield to point out where the AS-1 line is.
MD laws says you can tint the top 5 inches of the windshield and be legal. Maybe I should go ahead and just follow that cuz I live here now.

I'm not sure what the "AS-1" line is, but if you have the vehicle registered in MD, follow MD's 5" rule.

I grew up and lived in MD till I was 19, and MD cops are dicks. They'll pull you over if you have a decal that covers 6 inches of the top of the windshield (this actually happened to me).

the as-1 is not on all windshields, but seeing that the jk is registered in texas you have to abide by their laws.5 inches on the windshield seing how you live in md now should not be a problem.the only thing that the cops are going to bust your balls about is having 20% on your frout doors, because that is not legal in any state.best thing you can do is roll your windows down if you get pulled over.good luck

I thought it was at the bottom of the blue factory tint that most vehicles have. I'm thinking I may go with the 25% for the front (will keep me legal in TX), I can't imagine that there would be that much difference. I just want it close to matching the back.
