Default windshield wiper tensioners

So I used to use windshield wiper tensioners on my tj to make better contact in the winter/mud ( I had replaced the arms a few time before finding this fix).
I am now finding the jk could use them, as this winter my contact really seems sub par.

Any one else use them?
I have already gotten some from napa but they don't do a thing .... I actually bent them while trying to re-adjust them.

Thanks

I actually tried to find a wiper that does a good job on the windows. I went to our local Canadian Tire and picked up a set of winter blades. They were shit so I went to get a set of spring helpers and tried them. They looked like shit too! I ended up taking the whole thing back and getting a set of 15" low profile wipers like the rain x ones for sale at Wal Mart. So far they are working well.

i use rainx blades that have a one piece spring, like the european cars. i love them!! they work great and 16 inch gives a bit more wipe.

I am using winter blades from napa, guess I will try the 16" rain-x blades. I had thought that 16" might be a little big.

ive noticed this problem as well. I went and test fit the 16" latitude blades but they seem to run off the windshield onto the top of the window frame. I ended up getting the weatherbeater but haven't put them on yet. Do the 16" blades work ok?

I'm running the rain x latitudes. As far as them making driving in the rain any better.. I'd say there was no real.difference. as far as the tension on the windshield goes I'd say they are a tight fit. I'd recommended buying an actual bottle of rain x for the windows in addition to them.
