Winter Fun Level
Let me start by saying that I love my Jeep regardless... BUT
Does anyone feel that it is less fun to drive during the cold months?
During spring and summer... the doors and top stay at home... I carry a tarp for the pop up showers (not that we get many of those in GA anymore
)
My reason for it being less fun in winter is primarily b/c we do not have any snow... ice... or anything...
at best, we get cold ass rain and temps that hover just above freezing...
I dont know... just seems like the fun factor has gone down since there is no "adventurous" weather around these parts.
Just wondering if any others feel this way...
BTW... I am planning to take the fiance up for a weekend get-a-way in gatlinburg ONCE its snows up there!
Anyone in the Gatlinburg, Tennessee area that I could check up with for snow reports???
I was there a while back and remember walking around downtown with snow falling... as gay as it sounds... it was magical

You ever get stuck in 6 feet of snow? It gets old really quick. I guess I have a frame of reference, so I say just a little. But, just enough that would make sense considering you don't have the top off.
Yes SNOW gets really old quickly around here.....with annual snowfall of 16-24 ft each winter season. Snowblowing the driveway serveral times a year, Helping people that insist on driving low rider vehicles with summer tires in snow blizzards and slide into the ditch or can't even get going at stop signs.
BUT
I can escape all these troubles with a ski rack full of skis on the JK and head for the slopes for a few runs on the skihill and wonder WHY I hate snow so much???........until I get back home and see a pile of snow on the driveway to be shovelled....

perhaps its the idea that people are never happy with what they have... it's either too hot... too cold... too dry... too wet... too little money... too little time... blah blah blah..
I don't generally enjoy being cold but living in MI its part of the package. Fun factor? ...Call me crazy but certain levels of adverse driving conditions seem "fun" to me. Maybe it makes the drive less dull or maybe its having a vehicle that can get through the crud.

Maybe but I was made for here. I love the hot summers. The winters aren't too bad, but I wouldn't mind it being hot all year round.
Got my top and doors off in the sunny Bay Area! What's this "winter" thing to which you're referring?
In all seriousness though this weather is bittersweet. Yes, my Jeep's naked, it's sunny, it's about 77 degrees, but man we need some rain big time.
