Yes this thread is directed right at me. I'm not an experienced weldor and I proved this to myself last night. First off I know better and suffering from a moment of stupidity. Do NOT weld with a short sleeved shirt on! Even though I had leathers only 6' away I got lazy. Lucky not to get slag on myself but I have a wicked tan on my left arm! Yes 1st degree flash burns. It's not the physical pain that hurts, it's my ego. Heard about a farmers tan but this is nuts, got a he'll of a tan on left arm and nothing on the right!

 

boy this has happened to me...i have a welding shirt....but my stupidity gat the best of me ..it will take 2 minutes to run this bead...sure enough i burned my forearms bad ...now when its time to weld..here comes the welding shirt..everytime..
