Default Working under your Jeep

What are some tips or precautions that should be taken when working under your Jeep? Yes, some if not all are common sense, but a refresher is always nice. Help me, and others who come along this thread to learn how to work under their Jeep safely. Post advices, do's and do not's, safety precautions, equipments, etc.

Safety goggles too! I had mud debris stuck in my eye ball for over 12 hours. I almost went to the doctor until I watched you tube and used a q-tip to get it out.

And place removed tires under the Jeep, if practical, to catch it should it fall.

Where can you safely jack up and leave your jack stand under below the JK?

For something less than a vehicle lift? I like to use the axle tubes, unless they need to droop for the work I'm doing. Then I use the frame rails, just aft of front wheels, and forward of rear wheels. Be careful on passenger rear for the gas tank skid. If I can do the job one axle at a time, then I do.
