The other day with doors and top off going into a 35mph headwind on a stock 08 X I was getting 14.2 on the interstate.

In 4lo, on the Dusy/Ershim trail (37 miles of Rubicon like rockcrawling) nobody got better than 3mpg. I got as low as 1mpg...

Default That's approaching "Gallons per Mile"!

I average 20.1 and have seen 25.8 maintaining 60 mph . Lowest that has appeared is 18.2. I used to get 10.0-11.5 towing a 4800# hard-side trailer behind the Hemi Ram I traded in on the JK. Regretfully the Hemi only ran about 12-13 solo so that was the main reason for the trade.

Worst so far was just over 8mpg while wheeling in the desert hills behind Bullhead.

On 90 mile road to Vegas with big head wind 16 and return trip 19.5.

A friend in a M38A1 with the matching trialer had 20 jerry cans, he new none of us would make it without help. Of course neither did he. With all that dead weight there was alot of winching/tow strap action going on!
