Would you buy?
Hey all I was just looking for some opinions. Ive been looking at JKs for a while and im not sure if this is a good one. Unfortunately used jks are still pretty expensive around my area (north jersey) and this is the first rescue green with navi ive seen so close to me. Its an 07 x with about 43k miles for $20895. It actually has the jk sticker so possibly a former or current member?

Its had two owners and no accidents. It was certified after the first owner and now sits at a chevy which is on the same road as the dealer its from (warnock jeep dodge) I planned to look today but upon inquiry i was told it was sold but then got an "urgent" email saying as of the afternoon it was still available. Im hesitant to go look because im most likely going to like it but concerned to finance a car with higher mileage than im used too and people have told me the reliability on these are hit and miss? Would anyone consider it? Any opinions greatly appreciated and hope to be driving a jk in the near future! Thanks again

I think it's ok do you already have a Jeep? Do you really want or need the fancy dash and the monitors on the headrests? I would would save a little more because a brand new X with a warranty that you would want if your a first time owner is 25k.

I think for a price like that I would just get a brand new one. I only paid 17k for my 09 X used with 14k on the od. A brand new 2011 unlimited rubi fully loaded is only 38k.

^havent seen any new ones for that cheap around here. Any with navi are all 26-27 range and even the x's/sports are 23-24. I personally could care less about the headrests but would prefer the navi if possible. My whole family has jeeps now and all have the navi so ive sort of became accustomed to it. This would be my first jeep though. Also just throwing it out there most dealers in my area wont budge on prices and are starting to stock the 11s mostly which i havent really liked yet so thats why i have turned to used.
Also is there any reason why jk prices are so scattered. I understand decent resale but within a 50 mile radius the used prices arent consistent. There are saharas with like 60k miles for 25 and theres even a 07 x with 88k miles for 18k? Seeing those made the one im looking at seem decent deal wise.

If I was going to buy used in that mileage and year range I'd have to be talking closer to $15,000. You do know that you can get a nice Garmin GPSr for under $200 right?
The used market in my area is nuts right now too. I decided to go with a new Sahara myself (still enduring an excruciating was for it's arrival). Navi and my gig carry little value to me as I already have an in car Garmin 255wt that does a fine job of navigation. I don't need a hard drive for music since I have an iPod and can just hook that right up in the jeep.

That looks way too expensive for an X with over 40k miles...For that price I would go new. That way yo have the warantee and you know who has driven it and what has been done. I got my 08 (new in 08) Rubi , dual tops, power, tow package for 28K
