I like them. I think $400 for my 4 dr is reasonable.

Thanks for the compliments guys. These will fall more into a premium product.

The guys that fabricated them for me do some incredible work/welds, etc. I spent a lot of time working the design/layout until I was happy with them. The great response is mainly what pushed me to do the Basement Builders this weekend, the tube doors were really for me.

The approach I have been taking with my Jeep is I want it to be what I consider the nicest well built equipment. I try to make these top notch not thinking of doing the Basement Builders but just for myself.

They look pretty cool. Thicker than current offerings. Here are the questions I have:

1. What kind of latching mechanism will be utilized? The photo is unclear.
2. Will matching rear doors be available?
3. What color(s) will be available? Paintable?
4. Will mesh and other accessories like pockets etc. be available?

As far as price is concerned. I would think that they would have to be competitive with what's out there now. At least initially. If it turns out that they are clearly better than the other brands, the word will get around and the rules of supply and demand would apply. If they are initially priced too high, I think a lot of us would settle for something cheaper but not as nice.

My 2 cents.

I'll add two cents to Nando's two cents. Sign me up, if I can get a set of four, and if the price is competitive with others - $400-$500 for four.

Strong work! I think the quality of the bends and the body lines are great! I know it's probably more structurally sound to have the diagonal tubes in the center but something about them throws me off; i like the vertical and horizontal lines common to the wrangler. Just my opinion; but I think they look well made!

Thanks guys for the intersst. I will be able to answer your questions when WOL fires up the Basement Builders Craft Fair. All I can say is I cant sell them for less than I am getting them made for. They really wont be for everyone. Wish they could be, but this is just having fun with my Jeep sort of thing. I wont be going to China for production. They are made close to home where I can keep my eye on the whole process. I have strived for quality in these because they are for my Jeep. Hope you understand.
Thanks
Rubimon

Sorry, I meant to let everyone know that the paint job was done by Clackeys Shop. They do really nice work and matched them up nice for me.

Thanks Clackey!

I hope I dont have to use his services in the future! (Autobody)
