Yup, did mine recently too...
Had a leaky RTV seal, so I picked up some lube locker gaskets and solved the problem without having to go to the dealer. |

Eastcoast dealer wanted $220, it was easy to reply I'll do it myself. Can someone paste the write-up link, I need which diff oil spec to buy. Cheers
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...rential+change I used 75W90 Royal Purple and is what Wayoflife used. Some people went a thicker oil in the rear if they were pulling a trailer. |
Im getting ready to do this as well, how do we know if we need to the additive for the rear diff?
Is there something I should look for on my window sticker? |

If you have a limited slip rear diff, then you need an additive IF using traditional oil. Full-synthetic oil does not require an additive. Someone correct me if I'm wrong
