By the way, there are no gear options with the late-model automatics. All Sport/Sahara models get 3.73s and the Rubicons get 4.10s. 'Paying extra' for the tow package gets you just that, a tow package (tow receiver and wiring harness).

lol the opposite bud. I discovered this on the day I made the thread and I was hoping to pin down how and when they put red shocks in the Sahara’s cuz I have one on order (JKU Sahara) and I am hoping it gets red shocks!

Hah that's great. My bad for the misinterpretation, showing the dangers of trying to figure out what people mean when they post!
Then, I hope you DO end up with the nice Rubi shocks!

Ummmm.....yes. Every piece of documentation I've seen says all 17" and 18" wheel package 2011's come with the same standard monotube high pressure gas charged shocks. They are not Rubi specific anymore. Only 16" wheel packages still come with the low pressure shocks. If I'm wrong, that's fine. But I haven't seen any documentation that indicates otherwise.

my 2011 jk sport came with
black shocks so sales guy is wrong , i do have 16 inch standard tire 225/75 16 not 32 inch , not that color means anything but id have preferd red to confuse the people that are so pety by looking to see if its the expensive model , but if your going with coil lift and shocks it changes anyway so why would we care , btw if anyone has the red ones and dosent want them id certainy take them , if your in n.h. area !!! i think ill go 2.5 teraflex with coil and shock lift when i get the cash
my biggest dilema is, picking tire size with out changing gears from 3.21 to somthing else ive been thinkin maybe just going 255/75/16 bfg km2 ,on stock steel rims that came on it no lift for now and then add as i save up money , any disadvantage to this? love the jeep even with the small tires

oops forgot!
id like to put 33s on it but every one seems to say then you have to regear to a 410 gear setup w/33s , hence im trying to stay smaller and no recalabration to speedo and no regear i did like the 255/85/16s they are 33.3 inches and weigh in at 55lbs would i have to regear going that tall? there actually 33 inches in diamiter
thinner but hevyer than the 255 75/16 its rather confusing i think , i dont want to suffer driving on the highway at 65 and i dont want dinky tires ! and dont want to void warrentys and so on for now !!
