WTF! Someone stole one of my tail lights
Going out to clean a few things out of the jk today when I walk around to notice the whole driver side tail light housing gone WTF . I live in a subdivision at the end of a cul de sac and it was taken while in my driveway of all places. I'm thinking this was more of a prank by some of the teens in the neighborhood as my gps was in plain view inside and not touched. The bulbs and wiring harness are still attached and are fine and the screws were laid right on the bumper. Sure it could have been worse but doesn't make up for the time and $$ to get a new tail light housing. Wish they would have taken my bumper or side steps at least then I could justify getting some aftermarket upgrades. Anyway needed to vent. Anyone have an extra tail light?

I would look out for another JK in your area.
Hypothetically:
You may find your brake light attached to a recently mudded JK where their brake light was possibly broken from off-roadin damage. Possibly a young male or felon with a niche' for Jeeps.

It does sound kinda like a prank if they left you the screws and didn't mess up the wires or anything. But they should of returned it by now.
That is pretty low to steal someone else's tail light from a fellow JK owner though if that is what it was. What about the Jeep brotherhood?

Having stuff stolen sucks.
My guess is that some kid broke the light on dad's jeep and stole yours to fix it before curfew. Keep this in mind if you see a dirty jeep in your neighborhood with one new tail light (dad may not have noticed).

A similar thing happened to me in a rental at a concert. Tail lights stolen, head lights stolen, antenna stolen, license plates stolen, and muffler stolen. It took a bit of explaining when I returned it; good thing I paid the extra $20 for the full coverage when I rented it.
It sucks when people steal stuff.
